Dogpatch Labs to Host AI in Tax, Audit and Accounting Event on 9 July
July 9 @ 12:00 pm
Dogpatch Labs will host an event on Thursday, 9 July 2026 focused on one of the most practical questions in professional services right now: where is AI taking tax, audit and accounting next?
For anyone working in these fields, this looks like one of the more relevant AI events in Dublin this month.
The evening will bring together senior practitioners from across the sector for a candid conversation about how AI is already changing day-to-day work and where the next shifts may happen. The discussion will be led by Patrick Walsh, CEO and Founder of Dogpatch Labs, and will feature speakers including John Burke, Director of Tax at Forvis Mazars in Ireland, Lisa McCloskey, Founder and Managing Director of LMC Accountants, and Simba Mareverwa, Partner at InnoFund.
The event will also open with short lightning talks from the founders of Kreoh, Fineo AI and Audrey AI, who will share examples of what is already working in practice for their clients in Ireland and beyond.
That mix is what makes the event especially interesting.
This is not being positioned as a high-level AI theory session. It is much closer to a practical industry conversation, with space for audience Q&A, real questions from practitioners, and direct exchange with people already working in the field. The evening will close with networking, pizza and drinks.
At AI Dubliners, we see events like this as an important part of how Dublin’s AI ecosystem grows.
Because the real future of AI in professional services will not be shaped only by new tools. It will also be shaped by the conversations where practitioners decide how those tools can be used responsibly, effectively and in ways that genuinely improve work.
