AI Dubliners is an independent platform through which I research, map, and showcase Ireland’s evolving artificial intelligence ecosystem from Dublin.
I explore organisations of different sizes, from early stage startups to established technology companies, explaining the products they develop, the technologies they use, and the value they create in the real world.
My focus is not only on what artificial intelligence can do, but also on how it is developed, deployed, and used across real products, services, and industries. I follow a wide range of applications across Ireland, including generative AI, SaaS solutions, infrastructure technologies, healthcare, finance, education, sustainability, and industrial systems.

What I Do
Company Discovery
I research and add companies that develop artificial intelligence or use it as an important part of their products and services in Ireland. I examine each company based on its product, the problem it is trying to solve, the technology it uses, and the industry in which it operates.
Ecosystem Content
Through company profiles, industry analysis, and visual content, I document developments across Ireland’s artificial intelligence ecosystem and make them more visible.
In the next stage of the platform, I aim to give greater space to founder stories and interviews, strengthening the content through real experiences and different perspectives. I want AI Dubliners to become not only a source of information, but also a more interactive platform where people across the ecosystem can share their work and stories.

Why AI Dubliners?
The name “AI Dubliners” is inspired by Dublin’s cultural heritage and its tradition of storytelling.
While James Joyce’s Dubliners captured the people and spirit of the city through literature, AI Dubliners reflects a new chapter shaped by artificial intelligence, innovation, and the people making this transformation possible across Dublin and Ireland.
Although the platform is based in Dublin, its coverage includes companies, founders, products, events, and ecosystem developments from across Ireland.
Why Early Stage Startups?
AI Dubliners features companies at different stages of growth while placing particular emphasis on early stage startups that often struggle to gain visibility.
By researching the founders and teams developing new products, I aim to bring their work to a wider audience, strengthen connections between companies and professionals, and contribute to a more open and connected ecosystem.
My Editorial Approach
I prepare content using company websites, official announcements, industry sources, events, and, when relevant, direct conversations.
Artificial intelligence tools support certain stages of my research, content development, and production processes. However, topic selection, evaluation, editorial decisions, and final reviews are carried out by me.
A company appearing on AI Dubliners does not mean that it registered itself on the platform or has been officially endorsed by AI Dubliners. I research companies independently and add them to the platform myself.

About the Founder
I am Engin Firol, an AI content and ecosystem strategist based in Dublin.
I founded AI Dubliners to research the companies, products, founders, and industry developments shaping Ireland’s artificial intelligence ecosystem, and to make complex technology work more visible, accessible, and understandable.
AI Dubliners is currently an independent platform operated by a solo founder. Through the platform, I combine human research, editorial judgement, strategic storytelling, and AI assisted workflows.
