IAPP KnowledgeNet Dublin to Host AI Regulation Convergence Panel on 30 April
April 30 @ 5:30 pm – 8:00 pm
IAPP KnowledgeNet Dublin is set to host its next event on Thursday, 30 April 2026, with a timely focus on one of the most important questions facing organisations today: how to navigate the fast-changing AI regulatory landscape.
The session, titled “AI Regulation Convergence: Navigating the New Irish & EU Landscape,” is being organised in collaboration with the Cork and London chapters and will bring together perspectives on policy, implementation, and accountability.
As AI governance becomes more complex across Ireland and Europe, organisations are increasingly expected to make sense of overlapping legal, operational, and risk-related obligations. The discussion will look at how teams can respond to this environment in practical terms, particularly as the EU AI Act, GDPR, and broader Irish regulatory developments continue to shape the compliance landscape.
The panel will explore the topic through three key lenses:
- Policy to Implementation
- AI Regulation in Practice
- Who Owns AI Risk: Exploring Accountability
The event will take place in person in Dublin at Block 3, Miesian Plaza, 50-58 Baggot Street Lower, Dublin, D02 Y754.
The schedule runs from 5:30pm to 8:00pm, with the panel discussion taking place from 6:00pm to 7:00pm, followed by refreshments and informal networking.
For professionals working across AI governance, privacy, legal, risk, and compliance, this session looks set to offer a useful discussion on how regulation is moving from theory into operational reality.
