Prodensus is a Dublin AI company focused on the data problem in freight (cargo) and logistics. The website tagline is direct: “Respond to more freight RFPs, faster.” The sector’s chronic issue is messy, multi-million-row RFP (request for proposal) data, and Prodensus is built around exactly that.
Founding and Founders
Prodensus was founded on 30 April 2021 in Dublin by Frankie Bates (CEO and Co-Founder) and Noel McGlynn.
What sets Prodensus apart from a generic AI startup is that its founders come from inside supply chain. As Frankie Bates explained on the AI Ireland podcast, the journey began roughly eight years ago when he was handed an Excel sheet of 11 million rows to merge, which pushed him into machine learning. In a Microsoft News Centre Europe interview, Bates also recalls the pandemic effect: collapsing supply chains and freight bottlenecks called for a new kind of data solution. According to the company’s own site, the founders and team carry 30+ years of combined supply chain experience, and the product builds on that.

Prodensus has two products. DataMate uses agentic AI to clean and process freight RFPs, rate cards, and shipment history in any format; the company built it on Microsoft Azure OpenAI. RateMate is a freight pricing intelligence platform that shows where margin is made and which lanes to bid, reprice, avoid, or renegotiate.
The strongest single record point is the 2024 National Startup Awards — “AI-Focused Startup of the Year” Gold Winner. The award was presented at the Dublin City Hall ceremony by Jonathan Eustace, SMC Lead at Microsoft Ireland (Microsoft News Centre Europe, 6 March 2025, and startupawards.ie).
