Coso.ai: From Three Years of R&D to 100 Paying Customers

Discovering an AI startup is exciting. Seeing it later reaching new markets and continuing to grow is even more meaningful.

Previously featured on AI Dubliners, Coso.ai is an AI-powered platform that learns a company’s brand, then creates, designs and schedules its weekly social media content.

Rebuilding Coso

Founded by James Flynn and Brendan Scullion in 2020, the company’s development was neither quick nor uninterrupted. After three years of R&D, the founders ran out of funding and returned to paid employment. However, they did not abandon the idea and eventually rebuilt the product.

Where is Coso.ai today?

According to The Irish Times’ “Innovators to Watch” profile, Coso now has approximately 100 paying customers and a team of four.

Based at Dogpatch Labs, its customers are spread across Ireland, the UK, the US, Greece, South Africa and Australia. Coso has raised approximately €700,000 through contributions from its founders, State support and angel investment.

The Enterprise Ireland HPSU company aims to reach 1,000 customers by the end of 2027.

Coso’s story shows that growing an AI startup requires more than a good idea. It also takes the courage to rebuild a product and the determination to keep going.
